World Cancer Day was commemorated on February 4, 2025, at PSG Institute of Oncology, with an inspiring gathering graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Naved Narayan VP, Bosch Coimbatore, Dr. Bhuvaneshwar Director, PSG Hospitals, Dr. Subba Rao Principal, PSG IMS&R, Ms. Sunitha Venkat Chairperson, Coimbatore Cancer Foundation, and Ms. Saraswathi Coordinator, Coimbatore Marathon.

The event began with a tree plantation drive, symbolizing hope and resilience, as patients, consultants, and guests planted saplings. A ribbon-signing ceremony followed, where attendees pledged their support for the cancer fight by leaving their signatures on a board featuring an awareness ribbon.

IMS& R medical students uplifted spirits with a heartfelt dance and musical performance, bringing joy to patients. The theme “United by Unique” echoed throughout the event, as patient stories and discussions underscored the power of collective strength.

This meaningful gathering not only raised awareness but also offered encouragement to patients, caregivers, and the medical community, reinforcing the importance of unity in the battle against cancer.
